GANONG INTERNATIONAL: MOBA'S REPRESENTATION IN SOUTH KOREA

Thirty years of high-level customer satisfaction

Moba works closely with a worldwide network of agents. Due to this cooperation, Moba can provide support and services to all its customers, anywhere in the world. Some of these partnerships go way back: In South Korea, Ganong International has represented Moba for the past three decades.

The journey of Ganong International started back in 1955, when its parent company Ganong Bio was established. Ganong Bio was founded as a feed supply and dairy farm, and has grown into an egg farm with 1.2 million laying chickens. Mr. Yoo Jaecheung, the owner of the company, became an agent of Moba in 1991. Thirteen years later, in 2004, Ganong International was launched and since that moment the company has successfully taken on the role of Moba's agent.

We have maintained a steady and good relationship with Moba. Since becoming an agent, we have been consistently contributing to the development of the Korean poultry and egg industry.

Harmony

Mr. Hyochan Kim, the Director of Ganong International, takes pride that his company has been Moba's agent since 1991: "We have maintained a steady and good relationship with Moba. Since becoming an agent, we have been consistently contributing to the development of the Korean poultry and egg industry. I think the reason why we have been the agent of a leading company for such a long time is that we have been sincere and consistent in responding to the needs of the market. We put our customers and their interest at the top of our priority list. We eliminate any concerns the customers may have about using a Dutch product due to the geographical distance. We also understand the importance of service. We have an After Service team to respond quickly to customers' needs. So our customer satisfaction level is very high."

The impressive results of a company reflect on the quality of the team. Ganong International works within different teams. There is a General Affairs/Accounting team, Sales team, Installation team and the After Service team. Mr. Hyochan speaks of a great mix among the 12 employees: "Each team consists of a highly skilled senior member who is in charge and educates the juniors, so there is a great harmony."

Over the past 30 years, our company has been developing just like the Korean poultry industry. Without Moba's cooperation, our company could not have made this progress.

Government regulations

The egg market is constantly developing, mainly to changes implemented by governments. The Asian region is no exception. Mr. Hyochan foresees a challenge for his customers with new government regulations to improve the hygiene of eggs that will take effect in April 2020. "With this new law, farmers need 'permission for grading and packaging', which requires grading, washing, drying, disinfection and packaging in order to sell eggs to the public through department stores, convenience stores and supermarkets. If they do not meet these conditions, they are only allowed to sell their eggs to traders. To obtain the permit, the grader must have a blood detector and a crack detector. Many farms are preparing for this."

Progress

Most communication with Moba headquarters goes through Moba Asia, Moba's subsidiary located in Malaysia. Mr. Hyochan is very happy with the cooperation with Moba and hopes that Moba and Ganong International will maintain their partnership for many years to come: "Over the past 30 years, our company has been developing just like the Korean poultry industry. Without Moba's cooperation, our company could not have made this progress."
