Reverse Osmosis is a concentration process used to concentrate whole egg before drying during whole egg powder production.
The whole egg has approximately 24% DM (Dry Matter), which can be concentrated to 37%, reducing volumes by 1/3.
For example: if you had 3,000 l/h, you can extract 1,000 l/h of water by using Reverse Osmosis, and then 2,000 l/h of product can be sent to the dryer.
Reverse Osmosis offers the following advantages:
- increase of the drying capacity
- cost energy savings during the drying process
